During a one to one consultation a full career history will be taken. You will be helped to identify the skills and achievements that will be of most interest to the employer and a format will be agreed that best suits your requirements. Following the consultation, a draft will be prepared and shown to you for approval and amendments. The final CV can be provided by email attachment or hard copy on good quality paper.

CV check

A consultation to review your current CV. The career consultant will advise on updates and improvements to ensure that you can prioritise and condense relevant information and discuss with you the most effective format for the jobs being considered now (or in the near future). If you haven't looked at your CV for some time, you may want to take advantage of this service so that you are always prepared when a tempting job opportunity arises.

Appointments can be arranged during the daytime, evening or weekends. Telephone consultation is also available for clients who cannot easily get to Bedford.

Cover letter

This is as important as the CV and should be given careful attention. The career consultant will help you prepare a letter that is short, concise, complements the content of the CV and is tailored to a particular job opportunity.

Interview techniques

Learn how to improve your interview performance. A one hour consultation will include discussion on effective preparation, body language, predicting awkward questions and will offer you the chance to practise answering common interview questions (or even giving a short presentation).

Appointments can be arranged during the daytime, evening or weekends. Telephone consultation is also available for clients who cannot easily travel to Bedford.
